As I lie in
bed tonight, with thoughts of you, New York!
Tremendous burden, troubles my mind, as I relive
today's events!
I do not know your name, nor do you know my name!
But yet, why do I, so deeply feel your pain?
Pictures of the rubbles, still so freshly embedded
into my mind,
reminding me of the perils & tragedies!
What I would give just to be with you, to hold you
near me
as I would wipe your tears!
I do not know your name, nor do you know my name!
But yet, why can't I, get you off of my mind?
I think of you, little boys & girls,
awaiting for your daddy or mommy to come home!
I think of you, husbands & wives,
awaiting for your soul mates or spouses to come home!
I think of you, firemen & policemen,
whom gave their lives away to save others!
I think of you, the innocents,
whom were victims of a malicious conspiracy &
crime!
I think of you, who's lives were taken,
without a chance of goodbye!
I think of you, whom were left behind,
with deep grief & emptiness!
I do not know your name, nor do you know my name!
But yet, why do I feel your pain, my friend?
To you, who's life were taken away, may you rest in
peace!
To you, whom were left behind, capture the love
flowing from around the world!
With you, we hurt & we cry!
With you, we will pray & stand!
For, we love you, our friends!
With our deep & profound Sympathy!
