"One's own self is well hidden from one's own self; of all the mines of treasure, one's own is the last to be dug up."
Nietzshce

Your mission this month - if you choose to accept it *L* - is to try to become more self-aware. Self-awareness is defined as "awareness of your own individuality". Becoming more self-aware means realizing that you are unique. It means discovering (or remembering) what it is that you want, need, believe, think, fear, dislike, etc. - as well as the reasons behind those things.

Many times, we - as women - try to be all things to all people. Often we do what we "should" (or what other people THINK we should) with disregard to what we "want/need/believe/etc"... just so we don't "rock the boat".

I really believe that over time we become disconnected and we lose a bit of ourselves. Robert Louis Stevenson once said, "To know what you prefer, instead of humbly saying "Amen" to what the world tells you you ought to prefer, is to keep your soul alive." So, dear divas, your challenge for this month (and beyond) is to take some time to get to know the most important person in your life - the one who will be there when others have walked away - YOU!

The following site provides an excellent resource with many questions to help us on our journey of self-awareness.
