Dear
Divas:
We've got a lot to cover so
we'd like to begin by
introducing ourselves as your new editors. Pam B is from Florida and
she's been a Diva since the beginning! She works full time and
has two children and a menagerie that includes a dog, a cat, a bird and
two fish! She maintains a website
at www.hummingbirdmeadows.com.
Winterheart is from California where she lives with her teen
daughter, her husband of five years and a cat named Skunk. She's the
network admin for a large cemetery and mortuary.
She's been a Diva since 2003 and maintains a website at www.winterheart.com. In her free
time, she plays simulated thoroughbred horse racing on the internet and
helps her friends build webpages.
On to the newsletter! As you can see, we kept the tabled style that
Howler left us with but went with a Valentine theme. It's really PINK
but luckily February comes only once a year! LOL In the coming months,
we hope to highlight the seasons, holidays and events as the newsletter
style. In addition, you'll be seeing some new columns and other small
changes in an effort to bring you an ever fascinating newsletter!
Every month we'll have a Letter From the Editors and we sincerely hope
that you'll send us your suggestions, ideas, likes and dislikes.
We can serve you best by incorporating your feedback in our every issue.
Now, here's what's new this month! We've got new columns we hope you
will enjoy but they don't all have owners yet so if anyone is
interested in taking over any
of the "un-owned" features, we're happy to give them to you.
Editor Pam unveils
her BitsNBytes column, which is a little bit of everything! Actually,
it will be a showcase of items sent in by Divas. We've stocked it with
examples for now but we hope to get submissions from all
the Divas so come share your talents with
your Diva sisters! Diva Grace has graced our staff and will be
contributing to our personal well being as the Zen Diva. Her
Chicken Soup for the Diva Soul column will seek to help us all on
the road to a healthy soul and psyche! Diva Whisper's husband
joins us monthly to keep us up on Technology in the new column
TechHubby!
Two other new columns are Media and Culture. The Media Diva presents us
with arts and entertainment, from
movies to celebrities, to TV, art and music. Did you know the couple
that everyone loves to hate
broke up? Yup! Ben and J-Lo are history! If it's about the arts, you'll
find it in this
column! There's been some talk in the past in the yahoo group
about different religions and cultures. The Cultural Diva will endeavor
to answer that need by enlightening us about
other cultures and ethnicities, religions, genders, and more. We'd
like to invite all Divas to submit their personal stories and essays on
this topic.
We're still in search of a Browsing Diva but meanwhile Diva Winterheart
gives us a helpful look at the materials needed to build a website and
where to find them. As always, Diva Cally tells us what's up in
February - from holidays to birthdays and astrological info, it's all
here! Our interview of the month is an Oscar
nominated
hunk, our fiction for the month is audience
participation, and our book review is all about
Romance! What's
cooking in the kitchen is a
delectable Valentine's
Day dinner sure to please the lover in your life. Diva Bonnie covers a
timely subject in the
Healthy Diva; anger in the workplace, while our Nature Diva column
gives us a
look at Valentine's Day through a paleobotanist's eyes.
We
hope you enjoy this newsletter and
welcome your comments as always.
Happy February and Happy Valentines Day to
you and your loved ones!
